Keyless Rosewood Flute

This is an F flute, and is probably military in origin. The overall length is approx. 20" or 51 cm, sounding length approx. 17" or 43 cm. The single key is a rustic repair which nevertheless does the job, and the flute blows well. The maker Geo. Butler was at the Haymarket between 1898 and 1913, thus dating this instrument
